DESCRIPTION:Singer-songwriter Mark Ramirez performs and records under the name Desert Atlas\, writing and playing plugged-in indie folk with distinctive\, literate lyrics that draw comparisons to Pedro the Lion. He released his debut full-length album\, “The Great Plains are an Ocean\,” in June 2021\, which led to being featured in 303 Magazine and on Indie 102.3 as part of the Local 303. Mark has performed solo and with a band at various venues on the Front Range\, including at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House as part of TEDxMileHigh: Reconnect in August 2022.
