Desert Atlas is Mark Ramirez, who plays plugged-in indie folk with distinctive, literate lyrics that draw comparisons to Pedro the Lion. Originally from the Philippines, he’s been in Denver since 2015 and released his first solo full-length album—The Great Plains are an Ocean—in June 2021, available on all streaming services.
